Changes to Disability Worker Screening Forms from 1 July 2026
From 1 July 2026, updated forms will be introduced for disability worker screening applications in Queensland. These updates include the addition of a new Queensland Worker Screening Services privacy notice , which outlines how personal information will be collected, used, and stored in accordance with new privacy legislation. The changes aim to enhance transparency and ensure applicants are fully informed about how their information is managed throughout the screening process. All individuals applying for or renewing their disability worker screening clearance will need to use the updated forms from this date.
Fee increase from 1 July 2026
Please note that from 1 July 2026, the fees for disability worker screening applications will increase by 3.4%. This adjustment reflects the annual indexation of fees and charges in line with government policy. Applicants are encouraged to review the updated fee schedule before submitting their applications.

NEW ONLINE FORM: Volunteer to paid employment
Has your employment status changed change from volunteer (unpaid) to paid employment?
You can now request to change your current clearance or application in progress from volunteer (unpaid) to paid employment using the online worker portal. This is the quickest and easiest way to notify us of your change in employment status.
When applying online, the fee amount will be calculated automatically based on the time you have left on your current volunteer card.
Workers who don’t have online access can apply to renew their clearance using a manual application form.

NEW ONLINE FORM: Change in engagement
Did you know there is a new quick and easy way to notify us of your change in engagement?
Workers can login to the worker portal to add or remove an employer/organisation connected to them.

Renewals for state-based clearance holders
Queensland disability worker screening clearance holders are now eligible to renew their clearance cards.
If your clearance is due to expire within the next 90 days, you can simply login to the worker portal and apply to renew your clearance before it expires.
